St. Patrick's Day. - (March 17, 2009) - Swiftblade
Well, you know what today is. That jolly olde day when everyone
wears green and gets drunk. What a holiday. So anyway... I'm sorry to say that
there is still no new news to be talked about on Awakening, but fear not my kin,
work is progressing steadily. With that said... Go drink your mead, and maybe
get a hold of some Skooma.
Pixel Smashers Interview. - (March 2, 2009) - Swiftblade
I'm a bit late on this one. I had no clue that they had put it
up, because it was within one of their podcasts. All excuses aside, Pixel
Smashers featured the Dark Brotherhood Chronicles in one of their podcasts
recently. Bane, the lead of the Level Design team, was interviewed about the
mod, and so on. If you're interested in this mod I highly suggest that you check
this out. I created a video out of the DBC segment of the podcast, which you can
view below.
Alternatively, you can download the mp3 file
here. I made a clip of the DBC part, as the rest of the podcast isn't
relevant to us.
Valentines Day. - (February 14, 2009) - Swiftblade
I figured this would be the time to make an update, if any. No
news on Awakening, as of right now, but I assure you that the team is working
hard to have it out soon. Please don't lose faith in this project, as it will be
out soon. Oh yeah, about Valentines Day, yeah, happy that.
Welcome to 2009. - (January 1, 2009) - Swiftblade
Welcome, dear brothers and sisters, to the new year. The year of
2009. What a great year we have ahead of us. It is the year that the Dark
Brotherhood Chronicles: Awakening will finally be released! We've been waiting
our daggers sheathed, but finally, we can put them back in action once again.
With that said, I hope your year is as blood filled as Phillida in the void.
Merry Christmas. - (December 23, 2008) - Swiftblade
On behalf of myself, and the entire Dark Brotherhood Chronicles
team, I would like to wish all you denizens of the internet a very, Merry
Christmas. I hope you have a wonderful time this holiday season, and I wish the
best of health to you all.
Wait a second, this is the Dark Brotherhood. That was way too nice. In
correction, I hope you all shed as much blood as humanly possible and may Sithis
wrap you in his cold, black, embrace, my dear brothers and sisters.
Those of you who have submitted a beta testing report previous to the time of
this post have been looked over. We were very lenient on the grading, and if
you've received a PM from Bane 07, you have been accepted into the beta testing
team. You now have a DBC Beta Testing tag, and a new previously hidden subforum
has opened up for you. There's not much in there yet, but over the next few days
we will set it up.
We are still looking for beta testers, a few more, so we cannot publish the
error list at this time. Please check back, and keep the reports rolling in if
you have not submitted them yet.
My thanks and congratulations!

The Dark Brotherhood Chronicles " On a side note, as if this wasn't obvious, this mod is not
dead. I've been hearing talk that people are losing interest in this mod because
of the long wait, and lack of news. If you thought it was dead, think again. So
please don't remove us from your bookmarks! If you want up to date coverage on
the latest happenings with The Dark Brotherhood Chronicles, please do not
hesitate to join our forums and talk with people. I give you my personal promise
that we do not bite. If you happen to get bit, I'll send you ten dollars USD.
ATTENTION: Beta Testers. Test Level Here. - (November 30, 2008) - Swiftblade First things first, my very sincere apologies for the lack of
updates. I won't go into details with some sob story, because that is
unimportant. Now on to the news.
Beta testing for The Dark Brotherhood Chronicles: Awakening is on the way. We
are now accepting potential beta testers. Allow me to quote Anoriel on this bit.
"To register to be a beta tester,
please do the following:
Post in
this
thread, announcing that you will be testing our trial level.
Download the trial level from my post.
Install the esp.
To test the esp, fast travel to the IC Waterfront District and turn around.
There is a shack behind you which is the level.
While you play the level, take notes of what is wrong. Do this very thoroughly
and carefully. Write down anything at all you think is out of place or messed
up.
Submit IN A PM to myself or Bane07 the errors you found. We will not tell you
how many errors there actually are.
We are looking for fast turnaround times and good communication skills as well
as an eye for testing.
We will wait until we have enough submissions to confirm which of you will be
beta testers for the DBC mod. We are looking for about twenty people. If you are
chosen, you will be given access to the beta tester subforum, and will test the
complete mod when it is ready.
You will have to agree to a confidentiality clause to do so.
Best of luck to you all.

Oblivion Real Estate Interview - (July 7, 2008) - Swiftblade Oblivion Real Estate, is a newsletter, of sorts. All
about Oblivion. In this current issue, they decided to do an interview, with us,
at the Dark Brotherhood Chronicles. You can see it for yourself by clicking
here.
In other news, the mod is nearing completion, and things are coming along
nicely. The release date is still unknown. I am planning a full revamp of this
site to be released on the same day as the mod. So, you have two things to look
forward to.
Until then.

The Dark Brotherhood, Awakening, Update 1/21/08
- (January 24, 2008) - Swiftblade Sorry, I'm a bit late on this.
This is taken directly from a post by Anoriel, on the forums. "Clicking this link:
http://www.modcraft.net/community/index.ph...um&album=56 will take you to a
gallery of new screenshots. Enjoy!
We are still in need of texturers, concept artists, and writers. Please get in
touch with us at Modcraft. We've been joined by the excellent Lingwei for AI
work on our NPCs, but will need someone to take his place soon, as he's leaving."
As you can see, there are some new screenshots, and
several new videos, all worth checking out. In other news, we have reason to
believe that the issue of PC Gamer that we're gonna be in, is the March issue. I
will post again when that happens.
Contests! (January 19, 2008) - Swiftblade
Today, I have added the contests
section, as well as the jobs section. Yesterday, due to popular demand, I
spruced some things up a bit, such as, adding default pictures, for staff who
have yet to give us a picture of themselves. Back on topic, the contests section
deals with all the contests being held here, at thedarkbrotherhood.com. Members
of the Black Hand will come up with them, and they will be added to that page
accordingly. As of now, there is only one. It is called "Sign up to get
assassinated!". This contest was supposed to have ended yesterday, but since not
many submissions were sent in, Anoriel kindly added another week. It now ends on
Thursday, January 24, 2008, instead of Friday January 18. That's something worth
checking out.
New team, new site. (January 17, 2008) - Swiftblade
Hello everyone. I am Swiftblade, the new webmaster here at
thedarkbrotherhood.com. I was given the job by Spartan to redesign the whole
site, because the old one was way outdated, and filled with stuff from the old
team. You probably know what happened with the old team and project. If you
don't, visit the forums to find out. I don't know anything that's going on with
the mods, so if you want info on that, visit the forums. There are many people
who can help you out and answer questions about the mods and what not. You're
probably wondering what happened to all the old news, well, I created a section
called "News Archives". All the old news from this page has been moved to there,
so you can still see it. On a side note, we will also be featured in PC Gamer
this month, or next month, I'm not sure, but look out for that. I'll post again
when that happens, possibly with screens. Alright, I'm out for now. I hope you
all like the new site, and enjoy your stay.
