The Dark
Brotherhood Sound Design team is responsible for assembling
all of the brand new sound FX, ambient audio, music, and voice acting
you will hear while playing our mod. We take requests from the level
designers for new monster sounds, supernatural effects, and corpses rotting and bring them to life using an amalgam of other sounds from
around the world (mixed with a great deal of patience). We use a
variety of software from freeware to my home-brewed Pro Tools rig to
perform all of our daily audio needs. We are also very blessed to have
our own composer on the team who is single-handedly creating all of our
brand new music.

~Xaeaix~

My name around here is Xaeaix, and my responsibility on the team is to produce
new musical elements for the instances where it's deemed fitting. I often rely
on percussive counterparts, especially in pieces that are semi-ambient, or
'background music'. My instrumentation of choice is any and all parts of the
modern orchestra, and I'm currently learning the principles of writing music for
choirs and several different types of ethnic instruments - primarily percussion
and woodwind.
The interest I have in The Elder Scrolls series began with Morrowind, which I
hold in very high regard as one of the most immersive gaming experiences I've
ever had. Oblivion has the potential to be just as memorable to me, with the
added bonus of getting an impression of what it's like to work as a soundtrack
designer.

~NicholastheWanderer~

~My Name Is Nicholas Stephen Frederick Giampietro II. I've been a musician all
my life, though I am a mere fifteen years of age. I've always composed pieces
and recorded sound effects for fun, I've also always had an interest in the
middle ages so when the Dark Brotherhood offered me the job I gladly excepted.
My family always says the only reason I was born in the 1900's was because if I
was born any earlier than 1400, I'd be a normal person. I work at renaissance
fairs, farms and do a bit of fencing, archery and horseback riding. I don't
merely love the Medieval times, I live it! So making medieval music, and sounds
is more fun than is great.~
